Getting Started ; When you reach the required age and decide to learn to drive there's always plenty to organise. The first thing you will need to do, is apply for your provisional drivers licence. This will involve filling in a form, attaching a photograph of yourself and enclosing payment of the required amount.
Next stage would be deciding about who will teach you,
You will also need to decide who will be teaching you to drive. If you will be learning with family or friends in a private vehicle you will need to make sure the person who is teaching you has the necessary experience. You will also need to arrange insurance on the car you will be learning in and get yourself some L plates. If you have an opportunity, this can be an inexpensive way to increase your experience of driving before sitting you test. Choosing this option is best after you have received a number of scheduled lessons to ensure the necessary standard is reach without occurring any possible bad habits.
There are a number of Insurance companies out there that can provide temporary comprehensive learner driver insurance for intervals of between 7 & 140 days, all for as little as £2.25 per day.
When choosing a Driving Instructor, are they reliable, friendly, patient and flexible to work round your commitments?
